The core suggestion in all of this is to give players a improved menu and sub menus like in post #306 [Reimaged Hangar Bay]. It could become more dynamic with more things to do like base management relative to the fact we are a mercenary company. The addition of different structures with their own roles and features like a research building dedicated for the nodes and archives or the bunker that contains the Mass hangars and material storage.
Here are some aspects that could be implemented:
Base management, the development of base structures already given to us and new ones. This could include a barracks, R&D labs, defenses and hangars. All of these structures could have their own dedicated node trees which unlock new stuff like defenses which could be turrets of various kinds or more mobile defenses like Mass and drone vehicles.
Players might also get the option to change the bases layout from presets as well as the environment for their asthetic and defensive needs. It would also work for AI bases too to give further variety among missions so that they dont seem so repetitive if it were to also become a gamemode like in #269 [Mass Raids].
As suggested by Therex55213, the possibility of merging, the M.A.S.S. hangar with the factory and warehouse into a engineering wing of the base would be a great idea seeing as how we already the Gruff engineers with us.
Research and construction of stationary weapons and mobile weapons
Stationary weapons are for base defense purely which can range from different kinds of turrents like autocannons, miniguns, motars, artillary, buffs and debuffs.
Mobile weapons can help in base defense and in missions too, posssibly in multiplayer too. Stuff like a exterior Mass hangar, drone vehicles and aircraft hangars as well maybe mini mechs like a mini Mass or something.
There are many ways for base building and personel recruitment to benefit you in the game from a gameplay point of view as well as making each one of us more unique with what our mercenary base is like, it all depends on what you play style is like. This can be adapted into a new multiplayer gamemode for both PVP and PVE as said before.
Ideas from you guys on how it could help us fight quarks and eventually players would be nice.
