Open Mission Layout/Map Tile System#812

NOT Open-World. Something similar to Dynasty Warriors: Gundam. This featured beautiful semi-open world attributes while still having missions follow a given path in the map. Providing areas with having a general theme, while maintining a sub-variety in combat locations. Think of it as “Artifical Map Expansion”!

I think M.A.S.S Builder could benefit greatly from a mindset similar. This game simply has too much potential to waste on these small-scale skirmishes!

A part of me looks at this and thinks about the idea of just having a mode where you simply decide to stroll out of the bunker with the M.a.s.s. Like let’s say you don’t want to do misssions and you want to explore, you leave, wander around the map, and find area transfers that take you to maps for previous levels or missions, and then you just sort of get to wander, maybe smack some quarks along the way, or accidentally stumble into a boss somewhere and beat the crap out of it for money or just some good old target practice, or by being out there you can take a pitstop and play the mission that’s in that area. Idk, think it might be cool either way it goes.
