Additional and Re-scaled Scenery Props#465

This suggestion is in regards to the conveying of scale. The MASS units are in the order of 20m tall, yet they don’t quite feel that big in most scenarios. There’s a few instances where it feels inconsistant, too - Mission 2 in particular. There are these massive, looming transmission towers which work well, as they are normally as large in real life. However, the trees are small. They look to be pine trees, which typically grow to 40m tall or twice the height of a MASS, however they all appear 10m or so. It really feels weird, especially if you stand next to them.

What I propose is for some props to be more appropriately scaled. I can understand that there may be young trees all about the place, but an overall if not slight increase overall would be fine, especially with a few larger trees mixed in. For maps without trees or structures, perhaps some scattered vehicles would be beneficial? I recall the goal of one of the missions in the desert regions to clear a convoy route of threats - how about including some disabled convoy vehicles to not only sell the story, but also to show the MASS’s scale more clearly? Some ideas could be light tanks or trucks, maybe even an APC.

I feel the same when going through the levels with research buildings. The height comparison does seem odd and needs to be readjusted.

Hopefully we will get more different terrains or environment after this. Since now we already have a indoor level, might as well we have cities and forests terrain. It will look awesome since we have the environment interaction mechanics. If we can’t make the environment props burn, at least make it break. Details can come late I suppose.

In Armored Core you could stomp on cars, having small objects that convey a sense that this place was lived in once would help a lot.
