[Translation Inaccuracy] Existence of confusing and inaccurate setence and terms in Chinese (Traditional) Language.#442

Hello everyone, I am Seanspeciale. As a Hong Kongese player of M.A.S.S. Builder, I am here writing a nolt to report some of the translation issues of the game in written Chinese (Traditional) Language (Which will be refered as Chinese (Trad) in upcoming paragraphs), as of how the game is in 28th Aug, 2020.

First up, let us have a look at the statement at the bottom when the mouse is holstered at “Tuning” at the main menu. In English, the statement says “Adjust parameters and set up M.A.S.S. abilities”, which makes perfect sense and sounds normal. However, when the language is set in Chinese (Trad), the statement becomes something confusing to read that does not even remotely connected with the English counterpart. (Which means something like “Tuning M.A.S.S.’s individual’s individual’s individual’s a possi-.” “)

Second, the word “exit”, which players clicks on to withdrawl from the UI pages (Armor, Weapons, Tuning, Development, Mission Sortie, Archive and Photography modes) are translated inaccurately. In Chinese (Trad), it is all typed as 「結束」, which means “to end”, “to terminate”, and it is different from “exit”. In my personal opinion, it shall be typed as “退出” or “離開”.

Third, in the “Controller” tab of the setting UI. I understand it might be the naming issue in the English counterpart itself, but naming the tab as 「手把」(the Controller of video game console) is weird when the tab consists of more than just “controller”, it is the entire tab for us to set up the control input of the entire game. Please reconsider renaming the tab (such as 「控制」or 「操控」) in order to deliver the meaning more accurately.

I understand I am no professional on translation-related stuffs, I also fathom the game is still at early access stage. But it is irritating to see the game being translated oddly into the logogram that I use as the expression in mother language when I am reading it.

Oh, and an extra issue on the tuning UI, the word accuracy is written as 「的準確度」, which is close to the meaning of “accuracy” but the 「的」 is not necesscary.
