
A idea for kicking would be for it to be linked to the bracers, possibly a rework is needed for them to include feet parts linked to the assaulter being used or post #218 [Bare-Knuckle Boxing]. This would require new animations as I surmise the kicks would give new combos and such possibly unlocked through tuning.
Another idea would be for a dedicated bind for kicking like maybe the C key which do kicks that are based on your movement, for example standing still does a sparta kick while flying does a drop kick. With directional kicks using the WASD keys to provide wide swing kicks.

I’d be down for being able to kick aliens in the face, but I’m not sure where you’d bind a dedicated “kicking” button on a controller. Perhaps it could be a new dash attack animation for Gauntlet weapons and/or Bare Knuckle style, if that gets added?
In addition, contextual and directional inputs have both proven a bit finnicky in this game as the combat system currently stands, so I’m unsure what I think about that. You’d have to refine the combat mechanics a bit if you wanted to add something like that.

This is certainly another rework for quality of life. Kicking can be added as featured combat style when using bracers. We could bind kicking animation to Quantum Break first so players will only unlock these “advanced move set” after activating Quantum Break.
