A selection of melee grips whose animations would equate to thrown or otherwise long-ranged melee attacks used by mecha, such as: thrown spears, throwing stars, boomerangs, and the true classic rocket punch.

an expansion to the idea as described by community discord user Nyhmus:
“Throwable Weapons like Boomerang, Chakram, Knifes, Blades and so on. Maybe with melee combo and if you throw them they get stuck in the ground near the enemy they hit and you have to run over them to collect them again to use them (like a cooldown/reload that never ends).
A further idea toggle between weapon modes with “left alt”. I saw some kind of whipblade and here it could be also nice to use. Like Toggle between 2handed and 1handed, Throwing and meleeing a weapon for the weapons mentioned above. or loose and stiff blades or activating some explosived on the hammer or mall type blades.”

It could become a universal thing for all melee weapons to be throwable, it would definitely give them more versatility. Some weapons, probably the larger ones could be needed to be picked up again [maybe have a node which makes a drone go pick it up for you] or it be expendable with sheer quantity of how much is being thrown like throwning kunai/shurikens which are small.
